Our Local Endorsement program has been helping our radio partners maximize The Ramsey Show for decades.  It’s not uncommon for endorsement clients around the country to continue with Dave for many years.  Some local clients have been with our endorsement program for over ten years.  Below, you’ll find the basics and guidelines of the program.

Important Things to Note: 

  • Rather than an Account Executive having to disappoint a client looking forward to an endorsement, we are happy to approve the potential client, before the decision-maker is approached.

  • The Ramsey Local Endorsement program is built on the trust Dave has earned with his audience. It’s important to Dave that he recommends clients to his listeners that he would feel good about recommending to his own family.  

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Reputation in the community
  • Are they a long-time advertiser on the station?
  • Do you know anyone who has personally used them? If so, what was their experience like?
  • Businesses must be in good standing with the Better Busines Bureau and have been in business at least one year
  • We require a minimum commitment of 13 consecutive weeks

Categories To Stay Away From

Some categories are not available for local endorsements.  These are categories that are reserved for our national clients. 

Reasons: Dave will not endorse any business that conflicts with a national advertiser (Zander, Churchill, Us Legal, eMeals, Simplisafe, Zip Recruiter) or with his personal belief system or with any service/product we provide in-house to our listeners.

Protected Categories for Ramsey Local Endorsements:

    • Insurance (Life, ID Theft, Health, P&C)
    • Mortgage
    • Online Legal Documents (Wills, etc.)
    • Meal Planning
    • Investing
    • Real Estate
    • Home Security
    • HR Recruiting
    • Career – Online adult education & career certifications

 

Endorsed Local Provider or Endorsed Local Advertiser

You or your client have likely heard Dave refer to the ELP program and may have questions about whether this is the same as an endorsed local advertiser. They are actually two distinct programs.

    • Endorsed Local Providers go through a comprehensive vetting process through-out ELP department.
    • They're evaluated throughout the year for their performance and customer service.
    • They hold certifications or licensure in areas of tax, real estate and insurance.

 

Categories to Avoid: 

These categories are contrary to Dave’s financial advice, topics and principles he teaches on the show:

    • Payday Loan
    • Reverse Mortgage
    • Credit Cards
    • Home Equity Loans
    • Any Other Lines of Credit/Debt Products

Production & Billing

Production:

  • Dave goes into the studio every Tuesday and Thursday schedule permitting to voice endorsement spots.
  • Allow 2—3 weeks for production turnaround
  • Spot length can be a :30 or :60
  • We have an in-house copy writer who will create an ad in Dave's style that will resonate with his listeners.
  • Once Dave voices a spot it’s final. We will only re-voice a spot if Dave gives incorrect information or mispronounces a word.
  • Dave’s brand extends beyond the radio show.  You are welcome to use the spot in any daypart and on any station in your cluster.  The spot should not be used separately from the station’s broadcast in targeted audio, Social Media, nor the client’s website.    
  • A signed endorsement agreement and endorsement fee payment must be received before the spot is produced

 

Endorsement Billing: 

  • Please contact our team for your market’s rate
  • Your client is directly billed by our company for their endorsement fee
