What You Should Know
Sometimes, when you set big goals, they don’t always work out the way you hope they will. With Gazelle, our goal was to offer you another opportunity to spend and save the Ramsey way. We knew stepping into a new venture would be a challenge. And it was a challenge we wanted to take on.
But things didn’t go according to plan.
Since its launch, Gazelle has encountered challenges that limit our ability to serve you well, and we currently can’t give you the world-class experience we believe you deserve.
So, we’ve made the difficult decision to close Gazelle.
No matter where you are in the Baby Steps, we have plenty of tools and resources to help you stay on track, pay off debt and build wealth. If you have any questions, our Customer Success team is ready to help.
Making the Switch from Gazelle
The first thing you need to know is your money is safe.
And second, you’ll need to transfer your money out of your Gazelle account before your account is closed on September 4, 2023. We know the extra steps are no fun, but it keeps you in control of your money. (And that’s the whole point.)
Here’s what you’ll need to do to close your Gazelle account:
1. If you have money in your Gazelle account, go ahead and move it out. You can transfer that money back to your bank, or spend it down to zero. Click here to see other ways to withdraw money from Gazelle.
2. If you don’t move your money by September 4, 2023, we’ll send you a check to the address we have on file, subject to a $15 check fee. However, we won’t send a check if your balance is less than $1.
3. If you’ve set up direct deposit, work with your employer or payroll provider to make sure your future direct deposit funds go to your primary bank account.
4. If you’ve set up any automatic payments, make sure you update to a new payment method.
5. If you don’t have any money in your account, great! You’re all set. Your account will be closed by September 4, 2023.
6. Keep in mind that all transactions and direct deposits attempted on or after September 4, 2023 will be rejected.
7. Finally, if you want to track your purchases, download and save your account history now—you’ll no longer have access to the app as of September 4, 2023—it will be turned off and removed from the app stores. After then, you won’t have access to the app or your transaction history, but you can request a statement by calling customer support at 833-954-0797.
That’s it! Remember to keep up that gazelle intensity, no matter where your money lives.
